Meet Sam, your local dog walker
Strollhound started in 2019, when Sam swapped an office job for long walks with the neighbours' dogs. Today a small team of trusted walkers covers Northfield, Elm Park and Riverside.
We keep groups small and routes familiar, so every dog gets proper attention and comes home happy, tired and safe.
- Fully insured, with public liability cover
- Every walker DBS-checked and first-aid trained
- No more than 4 dogs on a group walk
- A photo update after every walk

What Northfield dog owners say
Happy dogs, relaxed owners.
Biscuit used to bounce off the walls by 3pm. Now he comes home tired and happy, and I get a photo of him mid-zoomies after every walk.
Priya, Biscuit's owner Sam was brilliant with our nervous rescue. Slow introductions and solo walks at first, and now Luna loves her group walks.
Tom, Luna's owner The puppy visits got us through our first months back at the office. Reliable, friendly and always on time.
Aisha, Mango's owner
Frequently asked questions
Anything else? Just drop us a line.
Are your walkers insured and checked?
Yes. Every walker has public liability insurance, a current DBS check and canine first-aid training.
How long is a walk?
Solo walks are 30 or 60 minutes and group walks are 60 minutes. Puppy visits last 20 minutes, which is plenty for a toilet break, food and play.
How many dogs are on a group walk?
Never more than four. We match dogs by size and energy, and every new dog has a solo walk with us first.
Do you walk in bad weather?
We walk in rain or shine and towel your dog dry before we leave. On very hot days we switch to shorter, shaded walks in the early morning or evening.
How do I pay, and can I cancel?
We send one invoice at the end of each month, payable by bank transfer or card. You can cancel any walk free of charge with 24 hours' notice.
